A walk in the woods

At first, the leaves were brown, and the sky was grey, and the air was cold, and I was sad that day.

And then, there was a flower.

Marsh marigolds are blooming right now, cheery yellow flowers with deep green leaves, and clumps of skunk cabbage dot the woods as well.
